Prospect Farm Campsite - Thornton-le-Dale

We are a Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site, who can host up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and 10 tents.

​

We are a peaceful family run site nestling on the edge of the North York Moor. We are the only site actually within the famously beautiful chocolate box village of Thornton Le Dale.  We pride ourselves on offering clean, functional facilities in a relaxing friendly environment. Children and dogs are most welcome.

 

The site is two minutes walk into the centre of the village, walking past Matthewson's Car Auctions. With great access to the local woodland walks, so maximising the idyllic location is extremely easy. Onsite, secure dog walking paddock. Enjoy  the walks in and around the village, along the beck-side, by the village green, lake and woods - you'll find the public houses are extremely dog friendly.

Take advantage of the of village craft shops, choclatiers, tea rooms and galleries or relax in one of the local hostalries next to a roaring open fire. Alternatively, take in one of the many local walks through the village green, lake and woods. For the children there is a a large playground complete with 5-a-side/basketball area and skate/bike park.

We are only a few hundred yards from the local bus stop, with destinations such as Whitby, Scarborough, York or Helmsley, all within 30 minutes ride. So leave your vehicle on site and go out and explore North Yorkshire.
